Lawndale Community Church Ministries

LCDC is a ministry of Lawndale Community Church, a nondenominational, racially diverse church that has focused on developing community assets and meeting community needs for more than 25 years. The church is involved in this work through its food and clothing pantry, youth education and recreation programs, and residential re-entry program for former prison inmates and substance abusers.

Lawndale Christian Health Center, founded in 1984, is another Lawndale Community Church ministry. The health center serves nearly 80,000 unduplicated patients annually through three community sites. The three organizations—Lawndale Christian Health Center, Lawndale Community Church and LCDC—are located close to one another on West Ogden Avenue. Each is an independent entity, but we work together to offer holistic revitalization to the Lawndale neighborhood.

The Christian Community Health Fellowship is one of our partner ministries that originated to support Christians who are committed to "living out the Gospel through health care among the poor." CCHF is a national network of Christian health care professionals and others concerned about the health care needs of impoverished communities in the United States.

The Lawndale Community Church ministries are founding members of the Christian Community Development Association, a national association of more than 500 churches and organizations involved in Christian community development.
